They call every day at the same time, waking my 18 month daughter from her nap. Today I literally yelled at the guy on the phone and he chuckled. When they call tomorrow I'm going to have them come to my home, then we'll see who's chuckling.
Today at about 3:54 I received a call from 905-342-1223. Of course we know solicitators never show their name but I had to answer anyway.
When I answered he asked if I was Mrs ... I replied 'No' .
I asked if he spoke french to which he replied no, but you can speak to me in english. I again asked if he could provide me with someone who spoke french. He "Jason" again said no you can speak to me in english. (this is when I decided to have some fun and WASTE his time).
I advised him that we are in Canada and companies calling my residence must provide me service in the language of my choice, I am french and always answer in french however I do speak other languages, I believe they should provide me service in MY choice of language given that they want my business.
I asked to speak to a supervisor of which he said why. He was resistant and wanted to know why I needed to speak to one and he continued to be, in my view, impolite and insisted I give him a reason. My response was if you are any kind of viable business you will have a supervisor available.
So I was put on hold, and I am going to take a shot in the dark here, but he just gave the call to one of his fellow telemarketers. The gent in question, 'Jeff Marshall', gave me a hard time because I wanted to verify company information and also provide feedback to their "customer service department" regarding their inability to provide me the courteousy of service in a language of my choice and to identify their solicitors are improperly trained and in effect rude.
I asked what their URL was and was told "oh the site is under construction". What is your BBB number of which he had not clue what BBB was, I suggested he look it up on Google. He continued to insist that if I booked with them I would be quite happy.
Happy. He could only provide an assumed name 'Air Duct Cleaning Limited' he did give an address of 3635 Eglinton ave Toronto. He had no information other than the phone number, name or address that could substantiate it as a viable business. I explained to him how can I check if they are a good company if he cannot even provide the simplest of responses. Eventually he was so frustrated with me asking question he HUNG up the time was 4:10
They have been calling me 2-3 times a day for months. I played along and booked an appointment then asked what the company name was. ANswer: "The air duct Services". Asked for their phone number got 416-800-0799 (bogus #). Asked for a webpage and they said it "was under construction". I want to report this to scambusters but don't know how
I continue to receive a call from 905-342-1223 every 2 weeks...I have been informed to press star 57 right after the call and the police will trace this number next time he calls....
