They just called me, got that double ring and the voice id saying the number really quickly and let it ring. Looked at my phone and the 555 prefix told me it's a number used in television land.
If the call really bother you why not buy a Panasonic cordless phone, sure it cost about $180 if it's not on sale. But you don't have to pay monthly fee. It can block 250 individual numbers, unknown or private numbers and block numbers in group(like an area code) . That's not all, you can mute the first ring for all block numbers, so if you got a lot of unwanted calls. Very good investment.

I have this phone for more than a year, it filter out 99% of unwanted calls. Up til today I only got 20 individual phone numbers on the block list because I set up the "block call in group" setting(can set to block more than 12+ area code). Block out calls/phone numbers that starting with the number "11", "12", "13", "14", "15"...."18"(this block out all 1-800 numbers, doesn't matter it's 1-800, 1-844, 1-866 or 1-877 all blocked).
