ya, some guy saying he was with the government of ontario legal services department asking about an accident that happened in the last year. when I denied any accident in the last year he stopped talked but didn't hang up.
I just got the same call. I hung up on him. He had called earlier, but I hung before he said anything because he didn't speak for several seconds. Hard to understand, but same story about a car accident.
I got a call as well but at work asking for anyone that had been in an accident in the last 12 months. Claiming to be from Ontario Legal Services. I asked who he was looking for and he didn't have a name. A male with an Indian accent. I asked him if he was looking for someone or trying to obtain business and he replied trying to obtain business. I told him that I wasn't interested in helping him. I hung up right after.
Not sure if people are aware of a group of telemarket callers from Indian who tried to obtain money from people here in Canada but posed as the CRA. If you receive calls and ask you for your name don't provide it.
If I hear silence when I pick up the phone, I immediately start talking in an obscure language (I'm not fluent in it, but I know enough to say several things, including complete sentences.
Today, Thursday, I got a call, where the person at the other end (East Indian, I suspect), started talking about a `car accident' and `your wife.' Asked what language I was speaking, but eventually hing up on me. :-)
