Received a letter from an Ali Takim, claiming to be a collection manager for MJR Capital Services INC, a debt collection agency. The letter says that I owe CIBC around $5600, and offers to settle the claim for only $1696.01. The phones indicated were 1-866-682-0642 and 905-612-7064, none of which seem to be MJR Services numbers. I never had an account with CIBC, and I definitely do not own anyone such an amount of money. Seems like a scam. Also, I looked up 905-612-7064, and it seems to be the OPP child pornography unit number...
