Recieved a text from this number wanting the item I have posted on Craigslist. Wanted name and address for check and shipper confirm. I think we should meet up with the guy and give him a new outlook on trying to scam people.
I also received a text from this number in response to a tractor I am selling on Portland CL. First message asked
"Do you still have the Bolens 1050 Garden Tractor with PTO available for sale ?"
I responded that I do then received a second message reading
"I will pay your asking price,I will be paying you by check. please send me your name and address where it should be sent.I don't mind adding an extra $30 so you can keep it in my favor.I cant come have a look because I am out of town. Thanks"
I wasn't sure what to do because it doesn't seem like he's requested enough info to be pulling any identity scams. I have received other calls from New Jersey numbers that were legitimate and was just someone who had moved and never changed it but they actually dialed my number and wanted to come by to see the item.

Seems like this number could be tracked and the guy fined for fraud.
This just happened to me from Craigs List posting. Got a text so texted back. No responses. Didn't know area code so I Googled it, NJ, then sure enough, saw 908 FRAUD Google posting. I love my intuition. Never called number back. I'm sure you worthless cockroaches read these postings so just KNOW that you will get what you deserve. You have no idea what powers I have, but usually Karma is guaranteed 10 fold.
