Just called - don't know who they are. I have three work lines going and these bottom feeders are ringing my cell off the hook. When is this madness going to stop? Seriously. With all this modern tech out there the FCC, Verizon, et al can't close this act on these losers?! geez
It was ID'd as Cliff Roberts 908 432 8055 Accounts services credit card scam. Indian woman with heavy Indian accent. I tried to call the number back but Verizon said the numbers was either disconnected or not in service anymore. Surprise surprise. Scumbags will get caught one day.
Obviously they continue to call the same numbers over and over. Hanging up on them does no good. So, as long as I have the time I punch the appropriate numbers and wait it out till a human answers then I hold down a number (any number) for about 20 seconds and hope that I caught them off guard and that the loud tone startled them. And who knows, maybe they will decide to remove my number from their calling database cause they know I'll never do any business with them and will continue to blast them with a loud tone. Don't really know what else to do for now.
Another day - more scam calls. Nothing seems to stop them. Can slow them down by pretending to go along with the scam. Have an entire sheet of fake data by the phone - credit card numbers - everything. Can make up your own non- English language - and yabber away. Acting crazy works somewhat also. Much of the time I don't answer the phone - but that really doesn't stop the calls (even if you never answer -did that for many many months and didn't slow down the call rate). Lately I have been enjoying the scam calls, because I use them to vent any and all frustrations in the most impolite manner (and by gosh - we've FINALLY had less of them lately).
