This dirt bag called yesterday at 6:18 pm and its a new tele-whatever so it was able to ring my phone. Now it's # and its name is on my Call Blocker. The answering machine played and its message was a hang up.
Just for the hell of it I called the phone company asking what can be done about telemarketers. They said" nothing can be done. " This tells me they are making money both ways... from the caller and the called. So they are not about to cut their revenues in half. This makes the phone comany a party to telemarketing / harassing calls and scammers.
My Call Blocker nails all telemarketing / harassing and scammer calls except the first time they call. The internal log file records their # and name and from there I block every area code in the State they called from as well as the name the stooge uses.
My Call Blocker automatically blocks such CID names as " Unavailable; N/A; Out of Area. " I have half the country blocked and my phone never rings when a blacklisted stooge trys to ring me.
Today you need a firewall on your home phone just as you do for your PC.
