Same thing happened to me called me at 10:00 at night when I answered nobody said anything. Then I called back and it was disconnected like ten minutes later. The number is in SOMERVILLE, NJ.
Got a call from this number around 8AM 11/23/2007 on my cell. It was someone with an indian accent on the other end. He first asked if the number is a residence number. I asked him who he is looking for and then he said he is calling from blahblah ... which I didn't really understand and I hanged up.
This is a number that appears sometimes when I get calls from friends in Germany. The other party dials a 'dial-around' carrier select code, then punches in the US number. It's probably voice over IP that resurfaces in New Jersey, probably ultimately connected to one of the bigger US carriers.
Received a call from this number on 12/17/07 at 4:30pm. My daughter answered the phone. The caller ask specifically for me. I took the call. A person claiming to be with some grant funding program began asking questions. Oddly enough just a couple weeks prior my wife and I had been surfing the web on government grants. We pay bills and make purchases online. These people must have some great surveilance equipment to be able to hone in on a persons name and interest.
