I answered and someone was talking. I heard them say "you look at the same stuff every day" and then they hung up. I called the number back and got an answering machine that said: "We are calling with a wonderful offer from CMS. Leave your phone number and we will call you back. Or, if you wish to be removed from this list, press 9 and leave your number." I simply hung up. When I looked up CMS, I was told it was a government office working with Medicare and Medicaid. I am NOT happy. I am reporting this call to all available places, including the FTC Complaint line (not that it ever helps), and now I will block the number through my phone carrier. In addition, I intend to write a letter of complaint to their published address AND to my local newspaper. I am not a happy camper.

Got an unsolicited call from this number and a recording about a "wonderful offer from CMS" Who the fobbley [***] is CMS and what do they have to do with medicare or the government. The offer to remove me was with the instruction to give them my number to do so. I don't think I want to do that. I know there is a real company CMS that is involved in indigent medical help but I doubt they would be calling with an offer. It is like 'this is the IRS calling with a great offer for you'....NOT
Anyone got something else?
Got a call from this number, shows as "Elizabeth NJ" on the caller ID. The lady identified herself as being from CMS, asked a couple of survey questions, Where do I get my news, do I watch commericials, use coupons, age group, first name. Then offered me a small thank you gift, I said no and that was it.
