How can an invalid phone number call my home phone and why do phone companies allow these faked number calls to be completed? I just received another call this time 562 area code with same number. First call at 2:29 PM 6/23/2016 and call today at 10:22 AM 6/24/2016. Both with NAME NOT FOUND shown on caller ID in place of name. I refuse to answer these obviously faked calls and both times caller left no message.

It's called caller ID spoofing. It is a fairly common practice with telemaggoters. In the past telemaggoters these operations used out of service numbers. But more and more are using it to display numbers that belong to innocent people and in this case invalid numbers.
