I called this number back and talked to a lady that couldn't speak English. When I told her I didn't understand anything she said she started speaking as slow as possible. Lol. Then she said she had a usd tracking of when the IRS sent me a notice back in 2015. She told me the address of that notice and it was my current address that I just moved in to aug 2016. Then she couldn't tell me my previous address which will actually be on file at the REAL IRS. I hope these scammers don't scam a single soul and karma comes around a dick slaps these people.
Got a call saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit called back and got on the line with a foreign lady who barley spoke English threatening to send me to jail if I didn't pay 2400 bucks. Called them out on how that was illegal on a couple levels and they hung up on me. Definitely a scam
Got the same message. Choosing not to call them back. IRS previously sent me a letter when there was an issue with a tax return, so I don't anticipate that they'd call me with a lousy automated phone system like this. Also, if they got me on the phone, they wouldn't ask me to call them back, they'd transfer me to an auditor :)
Foreign lady ...who could barely speak english....said the irs has filed a lawsuit against me for 3024.00
When i told her i dont even do my own taxes she said im still responsible and when i told her my brother in law workec for the fbi and i was going to get him to trace this number...she hung up....
PLEASE KNOW THAT THIS IS A SCAM...Now im going to report them to irs.
