Lasy said she was calling on behalf of "Resorts World International." I could already tell it was probably a timeshare solicitation or one of those free vacation scams so I hung up.
Lady didn't say hello, she just kept asking over and over if I spoke English, syllable by syllable. I have no idea what gave her the idea that I didn't speak English when the only thing I said was Hello. I've been warned before to never say "yes" to telemarketers as they can record you saying that and somehow say you agreed to buy something. So I just said English and she proceeded to say she was from some company with the name "Bubbles" in it and I just hung up.

I think it is very irresponsible for anyone to help spread this "yes" Rumor, without first investigating any possibilities towards its validity.
Ask yourself this:
What scam scenario would ONLY work with a recording of you saying yes and couldn't work without it?How would a caller know who answered, it could be your wife/husband/mom/dad or anyone who answered your phone and said 'yes' that gets recorded.What legitimate company would allow anyone to charge a client's phone or open an account with only a recording of someone saying yes?
The Yes Scam is merely a rumor and unproven to have any validity that it could work. There may be scams where you agreed to something unwittingly and got recorded, but they need much more than a simple recording of a voice saying yes.
Saying 'yes' alone has no impact on pulling a scam, since a scammer could just as easily say 'yes' themselves . They wouldn't know its you or some family member who answered your phone, so recording a 'yes' is pretty redundant.
Wooo hooo got a free stay at a resort and no she isn't selling anything "this isn't a sales call" so you could imagine my excitement but then I said you know I can't travel the phone disconnected so if you hear from her please tell he I'd still like my free stay for when I can travel!!
Lol, I thought it was weird I won a free travel vacation for FREE we don't want your money. I said no no no no, no thank you. She got mad and hung up lololololol
