Becareful it's a scam, they will threaten legal action and ask for credit card or some sort of payment , do not give any info, they may have some info nothing that's not public,
A perfect example of predatory, unfair, deceptive, abusive acts, practices, (UDAAP) debt collection tactics. Debt collectors / skip tracers calling family members or Ex family members, friends, neighbors or others and using a disguise of wrong name / wrong number. In the victims case (both people) it is a wrong number that he's no longer associated with an Ex but to a debt collector his number is listed as associated or alternate contact number under some alleged debtors account. Any calls from a debt collector no matter the disguise are covered under the Dodd Frank Act, FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA and should be treated as abusive / deceptive tactics and complaints and demand for cease and desist made. Problem is you have to ask what debt collector is calling and what their address is and what their contact numbers are before even thinking of talking to them. John you were not a wrong number to them you're just a name and number on some database associated with and to your ex-wife and you can ask all that when they call back under whatever disguise for the day is.
They have been calling but I never answer because who has a . In front of their number that was a red flag but when I finally decided to call back to have them stop callin me the number would just disconnect so I blocked them at least I hope
