Please someone stop these terrible harassing phone calls. These idiots call several times every single day and them hang up when i answer. I am an older person and it is painful to keep getting up to answer the phone only to be hung up on!!!

We can't stop the calls for you. Get a call blocker. You can buy one for your land line phone at Best Buy or on Amazon. It plugs into the phone line between the wall and the phone. It also needs an electric outlet.
Not related to the calls - do you have some sort of emergency alert or cell phone that you always have in reach? You should. I'm not as mobile as I would like to be. My cell phone is never out of reach. I can call 911 if I fall. If you don't have some sort of alert system consider getting a cordless land line phone. The base station plugs into the phone line like your current one does but it also needs an electric outlet. The hand set (the wireless part) rests in the base station to charge. You should carry that handset most of the time. Better safe than sorry.
