I received a call from this number at 1012 hrs this morning and no voice-mail message was left. Caller ID displayed 'SAN BERNARDINO, CA' and nothing more. Since I was not expecting a call from nor do I even know anybody from or do business with any organization in San Bernardino, California, the call was rightfully ignored. Besides, the majority of legitimate businesses / organizations will usually leave a voice-mail message.
So far, I have accumulated three different telephone numbers with the same 'M.O.' from San Bernardino, California (Anaheim, Chino, Diamond Bar). I am sure that these different numbers are related.
Further internet research uncovered that there have been several complaints filed against this number and many advise that “Spam is Highly Likely”. An additional site has deemed this number as suspicious in nature and it has been designated as ‘Unsafe’ and as ‘SPAM’.
I have white listed those numbers from callers whom I know and therefore routinely ignore all other calls from unknown callers (especially when they do not bother to leave a voice-mail message) for the reasons as stated above.
