Alectrona26 It could be possible that they are looking for someone else and have somehow came across your phone # as a possible means of finding who they are looking for. The only way you will know is if you answer their call, but hey if it's not you they're looking for let them know and ask them to remove your number from their list and hopefully they will go away.
Avoid these people, they are scammers ... the number traces to the big island of Hawaii... they want your info but won't say who they are... be careful.
I managed to get in contact with them... They identified the company as ARS National. The guy was polite, and when he asked for my name, I gave him the phone number that they had called. He identified the person he was trying to contact, and asked if I knew her. I said, "No, sir. I just got this phone account a few days ago," and he assured me that he would remove my number. Upon a Google search, I've identified the company as Associated Recovery Systems (Collections).
called today and told me "you better call me back to find out why im calling" and then gave a reference number. I know its a debt collector, and arent they supposed to tell you by law that they are debt collectors?
Called asking for my daughter, who has her own phone number. If they have a ligitimate debt with her, they should have her number, as it hasn't changed in a long time. I don't want their calls, will be asking them to remove my number immediately.
