I agree, at the end of a call the irs does not tell you to have a blessed day. The message that was clearly automated gave a different number. That tells me they have to dump the number constantly so they don't get caught. I did not see a name on the caller id, just Framington, ca.
"Lesley Owens from the Department of Legal Affairs" calling about "a legal matter" - didn't use my name or provide any details, but did try to sound as vaguely threatening as possible. Total scam/phishing call.
SCAM! Received similar message as RJB, caller ID read Rialto, CA so I figured it was a political survey or something else I would not want to answer. The message is scripted pretty well and could be enough to scare some people who forget that everything to do with a legal action against you in the US is still done in writing not a verbal threat from an anonymous caller.
