Call said BBANDT (BB&T Bank) so I answered. Said they were Senior Benefits and wanted to sell me insurance. I have an account there so likely cross marketing by the bank. However, it was an overseas call center and I could hardly understand the lady so also possibly a scam.
No legitimate reason for BBT to call me. Very suspicious caller ID... BBANDT... no doubt trying to give the impression that they are affiliated with the BB&T bank. Whoever they are... they are obviously dialing for dollars in violation of the US DNC law. No legitimate US bank will risk being caught in willful violation of US laws. So I suspect this is no one with whom I wish to transact.
