Caller ID states, "Southport NC"... Learned some time ago if either; the number is repeated, or city and state is shown on caller ID, it's a scam! Picked up and immediately hung up! Have had a great reduction of calls from these jerks since doing this, since they don't know if they are calling a "real" number... Feed up with all the scammer calls! Seems the phone service providers should be made financially accountable, then maybe this would stop!
Just got a call from 910-294-8401 wanting to give me a cash advance. Pressed #1 to speak to an agent to have me removed from distribution list and was hung up on.
He named off a business then told me he knew I didnt own a business but one thing he did know was that I was from Alabama. The call got strange fast!!! I could actually hear my voice on a loud speaker, there was a space of about 20 seconds, then he would talk again.
