This number, which was blocked after one ring, also called my landline using a local North Carolina area code and number. Same area code as my home number. I tried googling the name on caller id (Telecom US Corp) and apparently it uses different numbers also as well as this number. Did not call it back, other sites indicate insurance company.
Caller ID showed this number as a Wilmington, NC number. I answered it with a "hello," then ~2-3 seconds of silence was followed by a loud beep. After saying, "hello" again, a woman identified herself as "Jennifer, from Home Protection Services," then I hung up. These calls come once or twice a week. I've searched for "Home Protection Services" on Google without finding any legitimate companies, and using another website linked with the Google Maps, it shows the number originating from what appears to be a private residence. I definitely do not trust this caller.

After a two month hiatus, this number called again but this time the caller id was a combo of the date, time and some unidentifiable numbers. Again, it was blocked after the first ring and will probably try again. What makes me laugh is that they obviously think by changing their caller id, we will pick it up. I think not.
