Got a call from this #(910-386-5304) w/Unknown Caller on ID at 8:25 p.m. Thanks for the heads up. Will ignore any calls that come after reading posts above. Sad.
Local number appears on caller id then asked for Miss (insert my name), then asked if I liked my firefighters. I realized this was a telemarketer and asked if they'd nicely just let me off the phone as I was not going to donate to anyones retirement, fundraising, etc. Then I was asked if I liked children...the pressure of this call was annoying and I tried to cicumvent with how I am on a limited income and could not donate. Was then told how he is just doing his job trying to save lives...awww come on. The caller then went into a tangent how he just got out of the hot box (referrring he just served in Iraq or Afghanistan and on and on)...as a true vet and also married to a true vet with a true vet as a father and lots of true vet friends... I take extreme offense to that tactic.
Just got a call from 910 386-5304, since it was a local # I answered. They wanted a donation for our local firefighters. I politely told them I was not interested & that I was on the other line. The [***] went into a rant about didn't I want to help save lives. I told him I could'nt afford it right now& repeated that I was on the other line. He then said God Dammit to me as I hung up on him. I will be reporting this # to everyone that is possible to report to from my local phone company to the FCC!
