Telemarketer - violation of the DNC. Foreign accent --selling home alarm systems. I reported DNC violations for years and found that the FTC is a worthless bunch of paper shuffling bureaucrats. Congress needs to transfer enforcement of the DNC laws to an agency that can do the job, or this will never change.
A woman with a non-English accent had my last name and said I was on a list of customers owning GE products. She claimed she could offer us an upgrade to our GE wireless security package that we have owned/used for the last 3 years. She repeatedly tried to get me to confirm or deny whether we have a security system in the house. I asked for a website so I can look at the products and she gave me: alliancesecurity.com. She eventually hung up on me!
