I got a very disturbing phone call by this phone # claiming that I took out a personal loan back in 2013 for $1100. (I've never taken out a personal loan). They asked my to verify my last 4 digits of my SSN and my address (They had the incorrect address which they asked to update their records and I refused.) they asked to verify my last name. (Which changed because I got married) and my email address was partially incorrect. I replied that I would not verify information until they told me who THEY were. Finally they disclosed that they were Johnson & Johnson a firm that assisting with a courtesy call to let me know that criminal charges have been field against me. And that notices were sent to the address they had in file and that they could not mail anything else out to me after 3 attempts. I asked how am o supposed to resolve this if I don't have something in writing? The caller replied that it could be resolved by me paying 50 cents on the dollar for what I supposedly owed. I said I am absolutely not payoff cent for something I NEVER borrowed! The caller them advised that she will close the case and that I need to get a criminal attorney because there will be a warrant for my arrest. And hung up! SHE WAS SO NASTY, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I called my husband so upset. And decided to look up this phone number. I came across these posts. It's most DEFINITELY a scam.
Left an automated voicemail claiming it was a "time sensitive, legal matter" and needed my social security number. There is a special place in the underworld for these people...
Got a call from this number Fri. Amazing how many so called Pay Pal loan scams are out there at various numbers. I have never had a Pay Pal loan and if I was behind on a loan of any kind my bank would notify me IN WRITING of which I'm not behind. this is a total scam to scare people into paying them money. Also, I can't block numbers on my cell phone for some reason...am SO SICK of these idiots..they're coming out of the walls! I would love to know if and how much $ they make for doing these scams! Reporting them doesn't seem to help..gov't is so overloaded with these scam callers and they change numbers constantly..I just don't answer them, however, I called one back from a different phone and a live person answered and told them to quit calling me..it was 'you are a person of interest on a time sensitive matter'..she asked 'isn't this George's?" and told her it's a phone I rec'd from the gov't free and some one else had it before me.told me she'd take # off list..we'll see..I'm not holding my breath!
Any company that uses "finna" and a representative who cant breathe will reading a statement is a scam. She said the state is coming after me cause i wouldn't confirm my social. Proceeded to say she had the social and read it out to say she already had it.Asked me who called me and then said she did. Lie, lies, lies
I received a voicemail from 910-444-1349, Wilmington, NC. This is the text of the message:
"This message is in reference to a very serious legal matter regarding your name and social security number. This is an important and time sensitive matter requiring your immediate attention. Please call us directly at 910-444-1349"
Don't plan to call the number. I would think a legitimate caller would identify themselves.
