Caller answered with "Hi, how are you?", unfamiliar voice; when asked whether this call was about business, said "yes, how are you?" Bloody text-scripted scammer or telemarketer, I care not which.
Persistent. About an hour later, they called five more times. Called them back on a different number, they said the deadly words "credit card". NO REPUTABLE CREDIT CARD ISSUER WILL FAIL TO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS THE FIRST THING THEY DO. And I never, under any circumstances, discuss my credit cards with someone who *calls me* unless the calling company is one that I already deal with, and they can properly identify themselves *to me* - at which point I ask them if they can be reached via the number on the back of my card (the answer thus far has always been "yes") and *I CALL THEM*.
