Called at least 5 times over the past 6-7 weeks. ..late afternoon that I have noticed. Who knows when they call if we are not home.
It's abusive and intrusive. For Telemarketers their socially inept. Who would want to annoy callers if they are truly selling a product or looking for consumer info.
Just another update, after the first two calls on 1/21, I received two more, one at 9:03pm, which is just after the allowed time of 9pm (8am to 9pm). Two more complaints were filed and have now decided to go further with this. Survey or not, multiple daily calls is harassment.
received 3 calls in 2 days from SSI. One call at 9:30 at night. They called from 3 different numbers, 910 863 1021, 910 427 0367 &
910 427 0368. All three numbers have now been blocked.
I answered, got some guy with a Middle Eastern Indian accent who said he was from a survey company. He said he is just looking for political views so I answered a few questions - here is where the conversation dramatically turned - he started asking for my year of birth, place of birth, and then the first 5 digits of my SS number, for survey purposes only, lol, yeah RIGHT!
He got none of that information because I declined to answer all 3, then he hung up.
They are probably looking to steal your identity, or worse. Hang up on them or do not answer.
After a hiatus, this number has started to call me again. It is still blocked yet they try. While I don't normally call numbers back I decided to call this one since they called at 8:43 PM today August 30. Their recorded message stated they are not selling anything and not requesting donations and if you would like to be removed you need to email them and include your phone number. Really? Now you want my email address, I don't think so. I will file another complaint, since I personally believe do not call means do not call and the less information any of these callers have on us, the better it is.
