Got a call from a random number that wasn't for any area where I live, so I let it go to voicemail. A lady named Trina McCall said I needed to call 912-228-5526. I knew what the call was for and that it was scam, but I called the number anyway to have them take my name and friends and/or family members off their calling list. The lady that answered said she was Trina McCall and I asked her what the call was regarding. Said I have a claim against my SSN and that she could help take care of the matter. I asked what company she had called from and she said something like "Comprehensive [something or whatever." She asked me to verify the last 4 of SSN, but I didn't. I asked where her company is located, and she responded "in all 50 states." Then I proceeded to ask for a physical mailing address and she said I had to verify the last 4 of my SSN. I refused and asked for the mailing address again. That's when she hung up. Smh. This isn't the first time I've received a call like this. Always trying to scam people. All debt collectors are required to provide their physical mailing address if asked. Refusal to provide a mailing address is one way to tell if it's a scam.
