Got a call from this number on my cell phone at about 12:25PM today. There was no caller ID info displayed, so I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message. The 912 area code covers a large part of southeast Georgia, and online number look-up sites give various locations.
This is likely a Robo-SPAM call, but it might be a call center doing sequential dialing to see what numbers actually get answered, or verifying numbers from an existing list.
One of those prerecorded cruise calls. I don't typically answer calls from unfamiliar numbers, but I'm waiting on a few very important calls so I picked up. I get several of these every month and have been on the DNC list for years. The recording didn't give an option to be removed from their list or stop the calls in some other way, so I waited for a rep. I informed her that I'm on the DNC list and no longer want to receive calls. She got an attitude and said that my call was forwarded to her because I was interested in the trip. I told her I wasn't, then told her again that I'm on the DNC list and to stop calling. She continued with the attitude and said that since I was forwarded to her they would continue to call.
