universal said that we filled out a survey. they asked for a credit card so that we could put a deposit down for the trip to florida, a cruise and other things. they heard us talking about 2 other friends that we would like to take and then all of a sudden it was for 4 people not 2. Once they requested the visa card we asked for more information. They then hung up on us. [***]
was told they were Universal, that I won a cruise and a trip to Mexico, and to verify my birthdate, my questions on who they were went unanswered, other than I entered this contest on sympatico. I have no record of that. I don't enter contest to Mexico, won't go there

The caller asks for me by my first name only. They just say okay, we'll call back. Can't get their name or what it's about and they don't leave any messages. The calls also come from (912) 466-8790 and (912) 466-8819. The lines either just ring and ring or are busy when trying to call back. All I can get from 411 is that the #'s are in Brunswick, GA.
The number is from Universal Adventure USA, they are from georgia and are proposing vauchers to Florida and Bahamas / Mexico etc. You can find a lot of info on: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-800-0688 and http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-912-264-6043.
This is a telemarketing scam, they are saying you won something but than they are asking for your credit card number for verification but they are taking you money. They will not accept to cancel the transaction.
