They keep calling and calling, but leave no message when it goes to voice-mail. Figured out who it was, as they have called from several different area codes and numbers. Had those kind of calls where I used to live and they were selling tickets for a concert. Went to a few and they were great! But then I find out, the money ISN'T going where they say...and not even necessarily kept in state, so you're NOT helping them like they say when they give their speech. It's more for the event they'll selling you on. I didn't regret the concerts, but think they should have been honest about where the money was truly going. (that it's not being used for your local police force or their widows, kids, etc., as they claim).
More of a 'sales' call than 'telemarketer' but didn't have that option, since they might be using home phones to make calls to make it sound more legit.

Just tell them you'd like to give $100. When you get the letter in the mail, just toss it. That's what I always do every year and then they at least stop calling till next year.
