The message was from a Sarah Michaels with no number to call back. When I called the number back that called me, they told me they were Independent Council Services. I asked where they were located and was told they have several locations and could give out that information for their own safety.
Got a call from 913-370-4556 today and yesterday. Sent the call to voicemail just to see if a message would be left. No message was left so I'm assuming it's a spam call.
Threatening message that they have a "case pending with NYS". My phone is unlisted and not attached to my name, we never use it. I asked the woman to identify herself, and she hung up on me. The recording states the call is from a "Sarah Michaels", but nothing after that.
I've received several calls from this number with a recording telling me to contact their office immediately regarding a case in their office with my name on it and then it hangs up. I called the number back the first time and it was a recording wanting me to answer a question about a movie and if I got it right, I would win a free cruise. Today I called the number back and actually spoke to a woman who said that she needed my attorney information because they had 3 charges filed against me. She knew my social security #, address and the name of my bank. I had 3 charges from a "Pay Day" Loan they said. I have contacted the local authorities and they told me it's a scam. Don't give them any information. Tell them you've contacted the authorities and most likely won't hear from them again.
