This guy is helluva consultant who will not try to sell you but will give you the facts about how to make money with lead generation. I thought it was a scam too but I see their commercials on TV now and no attorney general would allow a scam to run so many prime time commercials. i have a handyman business and need business and I will be trying their service very soon.
Called my cell phone, said he was from Home Advisers and asked how I was doing. I asked him to repeat his company name and after he did I said I was fine and asked how I could help him. He told me to continue to have a great day and hung up.

Um ...
You neglected to tell us the name of "this guy", or even the name or website of their company.
In any case, such calls made to people on the state or federal DNC list are illegal.... if the call is illegal, is the "service" illegal as well?
Lurkers:
"Lead generation" is one of the more popular scams being foisted on businesses. At best, the "generator" will take a significant up-front payment for mere promises to supply leads.
