Okay, so I got a call today about a supposed check fraud charge against me. It was from a Jessica Bailey from legal mediation...In Kansas. I don't and have never lived in Kansas in my life (or anywhere near). The voice-mail basically consisted of a veiled threat to send my case to the state attorney's office if I don't call back immediately and that I better get my own lawyer. No details were given, not even the office name. Only the phone number that appeared on my caller-ID. I didn't even know which state she was calling from without searching on Google!! No other information came from searching the phone number.
These people have since called a total of 20 times today, and they only thing they know about me is my name and phone number. I'm at a loss, not knowing what is really going on. And, it seems that they are more fishing for information than anything else.

I dealt with this company and they were very nice... They are calling from Kansas but they are a private firm there and they are probably calling about a case in your county or state. When they called me, they had all my info and they also had all my family members info.. I called my family attorney and we called them back, it was about a bad check from 2 yrs ago that I had forgot about. My attorney instructed me to pay it, which I did and they sent me a paid in full letter. I would suggest that if you never did anything wrong just return the call, and clear it up. If you have an attorney you can just have him call like I did....Good Luck, I dealt w/ Ms. Shortsteen(spelling may be wrong)...
same here they keep on calling I just talked to Jessica Bailey and she wouldn't give me any information she just told me im going to get arrested and be held in jail for 48 hrs for check fraud.... just because I told her I will wait for the state attorney to call me with the charges before I pay for anything... I told he I have never wrote a bad check in my life so she is wrong and she got pissed and rude with me and hung up after saying I was going to be arrested..... I don't know how to get them to stop calling me Im thinking of calling the state attorney to report this....
Got a message too. They did a background check and found my information to contact my son. If they can do that why can't they find him.Told them never call my place of employment but to move forward with their legal treats, felony warrant etc. Than well see them in court.
