I posted an item for sale on Craig's List and received a text message from an out of state phone number (913-732-0394), saying his name was John, and he would wire the money I was asking for the item to my PayPal account, and then send a transportation company to pick it up from my house..., SIGHT UNSEEN. The problem with this is PayPal only protects the buyer, not the seller. Scams like this turn out bad, because once "John" received the item, he would inform PayPal that the item was not what he expected, and that I somehow mislead him. PayPal would remove the funds from my account and re-apply them to his account, leaving "John" with my item, and his money, while leaving me little options to get my item back from him. Watch out for SCAMS like this. I sent a text message back to "John" requesting he make no further advances in attempting to contact me, and that this transaction was over... good bye! Thank God I looked into this further before agreeing to the deal.

He also uses the telephone number 864-659-0842 for his text messages. I experienced the same thing but thanks to Mr. Leery I won't be losing anything. When I called the 913 number the machine stated the number was Jamal's.
