A relative informed me she has received several calls from this number. She let her answering machine pick up each time, and in the most recent call, the caller called her by her first name, asking if she was there, before hanging up. I did some research on the number and it appears this may be a charity scam. I would suggest elderly persons who receive calls from this number be very wary of speaking to anyone. A caller who is a stranger asking for someone by their first name is, in my opinion, not to be trusted; he/she probably will feign interest in the person he/she is calling in order to get personal information and/or money.
