If you recognize the number, just ignore it (no answering machine) It might be annoying for a few seconds, but eventually their auto dial might sense no activity on the line and give up.
Relying on the so called "Do Not Call" list is a joke... it is not enforced, have you EVER heard of someone being fined for "violation" of it?
just ignore these clowns... they are like warts... they come and go, and when they are around, they are
an annoyance...
It is for "CardMember Services". Is sounds like a scam using the Federal Stimulous to "reduce" your interest rates. You have to have a minimum of $3k in credit card debit, your interest rates be over 12% and no bankruptcy in the last 7 years. They did not want to provide any information except that they represent Visa and Master Card for over 516 financial institutions and when I tried to ask more questions I was told that it didn't sound like this program was for me and they hung up on me. Real reputable.... Also called under 952-915-3834 and 503-563-0989
I got the same call as Leslie above on my cell phone. At the end of the prerecorded message I dialed "1" to get a rep just to get more information, as I knew it wasn't legit. I got a guy by the name of Steve who refused to give me any more information on the name of the company and he hung up on me when I started asking questions. I tried dialing the number several times and noone ever answers. It's just a pre-recorded message saying to call back. This is obviously someone trying to do some credit card fraud. I hope the authorities catch up with them before someone gets scammed.
