They call one of our numbers but when we call it back a woman answers as if it is a home number. I called again later (again blocking my number) and faked an accent. This same woman then said that she was in New Mexico. The 914 area code is from New York.
So this number (914-255-3427) shows up as a missed call on our caller id. Looked it up and found that it is a NY area code. Called it back (restricted) and some woman with some sort of NY accent answered but did not identify a company. Called it again at 11:40 PM MDT (like 1:40 AM NY time) and the same woman answers and has caller ID. .
I'm definitely reporting this to the FTC.
This is my number. I got it when I lived in NY and kept it when I moved to New Mexico. If someone is spoofing my number, i do not have a clue why or how they decided to use my number. I don't usually answer phone calls from unknown numbers since cell minutes are valuable to me.
