Left message saying "this is your final notice the irs is filing lawsuits against you. Please call 914 357 4892 with your case number"..I didn't call them back. I don't owe them money and the irs is not going to call me with a final notice of anything...another phone scam trying to scare people.
I called the number and someone with a middle eastern accent answer the phone identifying himself as office or something of the Internal Revenue Service.
I also got exactly the same call from the same number (914-357-4892). Lady with an Indian accent. When I asked her title and the possibility of speaking to a supervisor to get better English translation, she told me that If I don't want to answer her questions I can just hang up. So I did ! She kept slurring the title of the agency, making it sound like it might be "Internet Revenue Service", so I kept pressing her to spell that first word, for clarity. She then started just spelling HER first name ! Rather comical in retrospect. IRS never starts anything like this with a random phone call to a cellphone, and as far as I know, is not headquartered in upstate New York ! These folks should all be rounded up and put in jail, but I guess they would have to first be extradited from their home countries !
