Craigslist scammer. Wants to send check, refuses to use money order, wanted to add more money to hold the item. Was going to buy sight unseen and have movers come for the item. Also wanted listing removed from Craigslist.

I responded to the number saying I was scammed recently and wasn't trusting of the payment method that the guy was offering, he got back to me saying it's %100 legit and he will wait until the check clears my bank
Its an Overpayment scam. You deposit the check and send the overpayment to the shipping company. The shipping company never arrives. The buyer and the shipping company vanish with the shipping fee. The check bounces and you have to give your bank the full amount of the bounced check plus a bad-check fee.
US banking regulations require that your bank make the money available after 5 business days even if the check hasn't yet cleared. A well-made fake check can take week or months to clear. Scammers buy and sell information about previous victims because those victims are seen as vulnerable to the next scam.
Actually the best thing to do with that check is to take it and the envelope it came in to the Post Office and have them send it to the Postal inspectors.
