This number called our business at 1015 hours today. Caller ID showed "Armonk, NY." Because it was not in the area we do business, I immediately suspected a spammer/scammer, so I picked up the phone but said nothing. This usually (but not always) prevents robo-messages from activating and sometimes prevents a call from being forwarded to some "waiting agent" (aka spammer/scammer.) If it's a living, breathing body on the other end, people usually give a tentative "Hello?" when they don't hear a voice. No one spoke on the other end and the call disconnected after a moment, which makes me nearly certain it was a spammer/scammer. As the usual Google-based scam has been using a number very, very close to this one, I suspect it's the same scam artists spoofing through more numbers.
ID was Armonk NY. Never answer unknown callers and ID's with city and state names are always used by scammers. Friends, family and business-related callers do NOT use these ID's. Didn't answer and no VM here.
Just received a call from 914-499-3489 at I don't answer I know it's a scam, it seems no matter who you report them to nothing gets done in the pass I have reached out to the FBI, FTC they just tell me that it's a scam and just let my employer know that it's scam and report it the police. It's so nerve wrecking I know this site allows you to look at who else has been getting the same calls. So you are helpless.
