Same message in response to my CL ad - wants my Paypal info with exactly with the same scam as reported by Ariz on 9-18-14 with one twist: the scammer wants to send me extra money so that I can pay the shipper. I sure hope nobody falls for this. 914 is New York BTW
Received text message from this number, an obvious Craigslist scammer. I had had NO prior communication with them and did not respond to their text: "Ok. I will pay you via Paypal as i don't have access to come pay cash due to work and i will have my shipper come pick it up. I can't get cash across to my shipper directly and they don't use paypal, so i will add extra money to the payment for the shipper so that you can pay my shipper cash on my behalf. Send me your paypal info for payment so we can proceed."
Reported (forwarded to "7726" for SPAM) and blocked.
Just got texts from this number as well in response to my CL furniture ad. Same deal, give him paypal info, but he needs me to pay for shipping and he'll reimburse. Seemed like a bad arrangement, and a quick google search has confirmed.
