this is a collection agency. they call my cell phone, home phone and work phone (I have caller id at work too) multiple times a day starting at 8 am EST till 9 pm EST 7 days a week. they rarely have accurate info. I think they must use goggle and search names to see if they can reach the correct person. I have even tried to threaten them with legal action for calling my work. Its called harrassment. the foreign caller could have cared less and became even ruder. I just don't even answer anymore...they NEVER leave a message. I don't owe anyone money so I know they are not legitimately calling me.
In nine days "DJ Orthopedics" has called me 11 times and left messages on my answering machine. On several days they have called two times. They call from this 915-225-2550 number or a 888-225-4398 number. There may be a possible third 888 number they use. For most calls it was a female voice, heavy accent, lately it is a male voice also heavy accented. After the first call from them I did return the call, since it was after hours I got their voice mail and left them a message: "that I have no idea who these people are, never did business with them and possible a mistaken i.d case?" Sad enough I left my name and phone# and now they are harassing me with phone messages. A legit business would not act in this manner. I am convinced this is a scam.
915.225.2550 - woman with very heavy accent wanted to verify my account information with my bank. I know for a fact that THAT bank doesn't have THIS number, so I knew that something was up. I gave her my address really quickly so I knew she couldn't write it down, and then denied that the number she just called was mine. I called the 888 number she left me, and it was a real number. I called back the number she called from, and it was a fax machine.
A male called my cell phone from this number. I didn't answer. He then called my work phone ... I don't have caller ID at work, so I picked up. He had a heavy accent, claimed he was from Fifth Third Bank and wanted me to verify my address. I hung up on him. Do not give information to these people.
