Recorded voice claimed to be "protecting me from the IRS" since I had "multiple outstanding debts" to the IRS and if I didn't call the number they said "the cops" would come after me later today. Yes, they said "the cops", so obviously unprofessional. So I called my local police department and reported this number.
2 calls in short time yesterday, one just now. "IRS" threats of law suits and arrests. Awkward phrasing and improper grammar. A legit enterprise would not refer to the police as "cops".
My caller id said Walmart store., I also have 4 serious allegations against me.. They are coming to arrest me soon. OMG. I can't believe people fall for this [***]!!
I got this message today. They said they were from IRS. No "the". I love the "cops" part. I got a live person once with a strong accent who said he was Steve Austin. I asked "Really? The 6 million dollar man or the wrestler?" He hung up.
Received a scam call from this number:
"Next 24 working hours and once it get expired after that you will be taken under custody by the
local cops as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment.
We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any
legal action against you. The number to reach us is 915-255-4584. I repeat 915-255-4584. Thank you."
I've reported this number on the FCC website - not that they do anything - and blocked the number.
