I answered a call from a 915 area code and all I could hear were people talking and laughing.  I returned the call not knowing whether it was an important call or not.  Whoever answered did not give her name but then quickly stated if I didn't pay 1/2 debt to a check company that I wrote a check to they would be pressing charges for check fraud.  This is the same caller that called previously from a different 'debt collector' company.  Her voice and attitude are very recognizable.  She would not give me an address to respond to and stated I had to give her a debit card number today or they would press charges.  When I asked the reason I couldn't take a payment to an office or mail it, she stated she was advising 'them' to prosecute and hung up on me. I called the same number back and no one answered.  I'm not comfortable with giving my account information to someone so hostile.  I'm aware that I owe the debt, but certainly shouldnt have to be harrassed and then not given any appropriate ways to make the debt right.
