my no-message phone number data base indicates the strong likelihood that this is a debt collector burner cell in the "Cellco Partnership DBA Verizon Wireless - CA" and a spoofed number, all looking for someone who does not live with me. The other "Cellco" burner numbers are 916-588-4284, 916-588-4684, 916-588-4686.
Called once(one ring only) and then they hung up. I called back with a guy answering"this is the operator, how may I help you?" I told him that this number just hung up on me and he told me to hang on and he would find the agent trying to contact me. Sounded suspicious so I hung up.
Debt collector for Verizon wireless. These people are rude and aggressive! I owed Verizon wireless roughly $50.00 and now it's almost $500.00!!!!! This company called my parents and were so unbelievably rude because my parents wouldn't verify who they were because this caller wouldn't say where from or why he was calling. I hate that they now have local numbers so you answer thinking it's a doctor or something like that and instead it's a rude person wanting you to verify personal information. Nope. Leave me alone!
Be VERY leery of calls like this. Even if you owe money to any company, a scammer can con you into thinking it's that company calling, ask for a credit or debit card to pay off your bill, and walk away with not only your $50 but you CC number and a lot more cash than you'd like. The fact that you're being told you now owe $500 is very suspicious as well.
A real debt collector will NOT be rude, will NOT call other people and tell them about your alleged debts.
Take care of your debts, by all means, however you can, but block this number and don't respond; never give out billing information over the phone unless you 1) You make the call and 2) you know the number YOU CALLED is valid.
