the caller ID said John Rosewell, didn't answer, but pulled up the number and got the 800notes.com site. Looks like the right choice to not pick up if you have caller ID.
Called and asked for me claiming some case against me and wanted to advise me. Smelled scam right away since there is nothing going on. Before he could start his story, I hung up and told him not today. Called Id was John Roswell whoever he is.
917-200-9423 John Rosewell showed up on CallerID. Let the answering machine do the talking for me. A one syllable noise was left as the message. Obvious scam.
Several calls about my computer told them I knew that it was a scam and hung up called tech support for my computer protection service they ran a scan and confirmed computer was clean confirmed call was a scam
I have been getting calls from these [***] for 3 years now... When they say (In a heavy Indian accent) "Your computer has sent through your internet provider that you are in serious danger.." I ask, "Which of my 4 computers?" (I have 1). Answer "all of them!" (playing along) I ask "what internet provider gave you this information?". Answer: Sir, your internet provider." Again I ask which provider is giving you this information?... <click> Don't get sucked in by these [***].. all they want is for you to download a program that is a virus in and of itself... I once stayed on the line with one of these idiots for 45 minutes pretending to download everything that he was telling me to, when I told him it was not working and that I am using a Mac computer, I could just hear his little black heat breaking as he hung up... Don't fall for this, but have some fun doing it!
