Today they called me left a msg claiming they were the IRS and I'm going to jail soon if I don't.........
I called the # back and no answer. I like to get these guys on the phone and give their crap right back to them. I'll tell them I am from the IRS and we know who they are and where they are and we are coming after THEM.
I received a phone call from a very rude man, who kept yelling at me and saying I wouldn't get any info until I did what he told me to do. He had ALL my personal information including bank account info and drivers license number. He said I was being arrested because I am a criminal and I have been trying to hide from them. I told him I had no idea what I was supposedly hiding from, he just kept yelling so I hung up. I called them back, and got some information that I supposedly got a cash advance from company called cash advance and he told me it was in May of 2010 deposited to my bank account. I offered to send proof that this transaction never happened and he started yelling again. He told me that I used an email address in May 2010 that didn't even exist until Dec of 2010. His information didn't add up and when I pointe4d out all this he was very combative saying he hoped I got arrested soon. I tried to explain to this man that in America people don't get pulled out of their houses and arrested over matters like this, in America we go to court and prove our innocence. He told me I would be dragged out of my home and thrown in jail for a long time. I have the proof that this is fake and I called the police. This company does not exist in any directory, Better Business Bureau or website. They are not lawyers, they are con artists and even if they were real debt collectors they would rationally take information and not call names, threaten or hang up on people. They are a scam. The scary part is they have my social security number, but I pulled all three credit reports today and there is nothing out of line on them, and no new inquiries from any companies. Do NOT fall for this. They are con artists, but unfortunately my local police said until they do something other than call they can't do anything.

Some dude that sounded he was from india called and said he was just calling to warn me that the police would be coming to my job to arrest me due to fraud that was reported using my ss# and email address. he said he was calling from the harrison law firm in New york.
I have received several calls form this company as well. I am enrolled in a debt negotiation program with a law firm. So when I got the calls, I contacted the law firm I am working with. When I explained about the rudeness and heavy accent, I was told this was a scam. During the call I asked the man on the phone to send the information in writing and he told me he couldn't put anything in writing until I agree to some type of payment arrangement for a payday loan. He couldn't even tell me the actual name of the company that I supposedly took the loan out with. He said all he had was the parent company name, Cash America. I told him I have never heard of Cash America. He said the Cash America owns over 125 cash advance companies and that it could have been anyone of them. I finally just quit answering the phone when this number calls.
keep getting phone calls from some guy saying he is from the harrison law firm claiming i have criminal charges against my name and ssn#. i talked to someone from that company months ago and they tired to tell me i owe money to some cash advance place and when i asked for the specific name of the webiste or loan place i got money from he couldnt give me an exact name. i get calls several times a day from the company and was also getting calls at my job. sometimes they will call and then stop calling for a couple days and then start calling again. im also enrolled in a debt program and when i told them about the calls they informed me that its a scam and to not talk to them but it is vey annoying getting calls all day everyday from them!
