I applied for a job on Craigslist as a personal assistant and I've heard in the past about scams. I'm trying to find out if this is a scam or legit? It didn't start out as a call. It was through email then texting to my phone.
Hey, I received a email from a Michael Berkowitz as well with the same number. It started from email then he started texting me from the 917#.. I'm doing research and this is the only thread I seen. Did you receive a check or a email about a check today? Since we received the same info from the same person? I'm kind of skeptical..
I have the same info from the same person and I received a check today as well. Kind of sketched out as it started with emails and then texts and when I called him it was very static-y and he was hard to understand
THIS IS A SCAM! I called the Rockefeller foundation to speak with the real Michael Berkowitz and his receptionist informed me about this scam. I called bludeau partners international who the check is from and he said this is a scam. Do NOT deposit this check!!!
