Pure scam. No such grants program exists. Do a web search on Federal Government Grants Scams for lots of info on this and similar versions of the scam. Remember, you have to apply for a government grant and there is no upfront fee to receive it.
i have been receiving all types of calls from washington, new york etc-i finally called back #646-820-5486 and they told me to call 917-830-4622 to get id# - i called to find out what this is all about - they promised me 9200.00 if i send them 200.00 which i would
receive back with the 9000.00 i talked to them but ended up saying i will call you back tommorrow.-scam i am sure- they called me on my only phone a cell - how do so many different phone numbers show up until you call them - how do they get my cell#
Received a call from someone who said he was from the Treasury Department (Indian accent) and said the IRS was going to give me $5000, because I paid my taxes on time and I didn't have a criminal record ! The number he gave me to call was 917-830-4622 and he also gave me an I.D. # ... Since we get these kinds of calls almost daily and sometimes 2 & 3 times a day I knew it was a SCAM....I hung up. Something needs to be done about these calls. We need government intervention !
