Have received calls from 917-900-1248, 917-900-1242, & today, 917-900-1239. And as the caller above mentioned, 2 from the 315 area in the last 2 weeks (one under the name "Sophia Qam). But we don't pick up numbers we don't recognize, and when there's no message left, that makes us very glad we didn't. And very glad for this website, where we can check the numbers out.
This guy calls from several spoofed numbers in the 315 and 917 area codes and claims to be collecting for the police dept. The name of the organization sounds official but there is no such name listed anywhere. He is aggressive and quickly becomes obnoxious. I listened in on his phone call to my elderly parent while he attempted to solicit a donation. Never accept calls from numbers you don't know and always research the numbers to weed out the scams. Report all scam calls to the real police and the FBI.
