I got hooked into a similar situation a while back. Same line and go a vacuum cleaner salesman that would not leave. Offered a free vacation pkg that later I discovered was a sham. Stay away.
I got a call from this number last week. the caller ID said "Health Tech" A female id's herself as " Ashley" she wanted a free minutes to conduct a survey. I answered a couple of questions; one was “What type of vacuum cleaner do you use? Followed up with type of credit card do I use. Without thinking I answered. What was I thinking? Ican't believe I answered he then thanked me for my time & hung up. This eve she called again & asked if I remembered her call from last week. She said I won I drawing. This time I didn't believe the caller. She said a "young person was going to be in my area & would deliver a basket with items worth about $500. All I would need to do was to give my opinion of a product. No strings attached. The "young person" would be in my area about 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It was 6:45 p.m. She asked what would be the best way to get to my house from a certain highway (I could here what sounded like a GPS being programmed in a car. I told her I was uncomfortable with the questions she had asked last week. She hung up. I wouldn't have given her permission to come to my home. Anyone else have a similar experience?
